outdoor life

Outdoor Life is an American magazine dedicated to the outdoors. Its sister publication, Field & Stream, is also an important part of the "Big Three" of American outdoor publishing. The magazine was founded in Denver in 1898 and is now a venerable institution for avid outdoor enthusiasts. Money magazine lists it as one of its "Big Three" American publications. It is considered one of the leading lifestyle magazines in outdoor recreation and was first published in Colorado in January of that year.

Outdoor Life was originally published in New York City, and was owned by the Popular Science Publishing Company for many years. In 1967, it was purchased by Time Inc., which later sold it to Time Warner. Outdoor Life was eventually bought by Bonnier Corporation in 2007 and is now owned by this company. However, in January 2018, Outdoor Life changed from nine issues a year to quarterly publications. Also in 2018, Outdoor Life announced that it would cease print publication in 2021, and will transition to a digital format.

Outdoor Life has published over three hundred years of articles and reviews on hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and other outdoor activities. Its sister publication Field & Stream also publishes Outdoor Life. These magazines are considered part of the "Big Three" of American outdoor publishing and are the oldest in the business. They also have quizzes and tips to help you get started in the outdoor world. Whether you're just starting out or are an avid outdoorsman, Outdoor Life will help you get the most out of the outdoors.
